Indiana University also offers a Ph.D. minor in Social Informatics. The minor requires completion of 12 credit hours outside the student’s home department (3 foundational and 9 elective credit hours). Courses with “Core” in the “Ph.D. Minor” column in the table below serve as foundational classes for the minor. Courses with a “Y” in the “Ph.D. Minor” column may be taken as electives to satisfy the requirements of the Ph.D. minor in Social Informatics.
